The survey results showed that among 2,250 houses inspected, Aedes mosquito larvae and pupae were found in 322, among which the highest larval presence (14.21%) was found in plastic buckets. Based on larval density, DSCC’s 75 wards were divided into three categories, of which 29 wards are ‘high-risk’. Emphasizing active participation of citizens alongside government initiatives to prevent dengue, the DSCC administrator said special mosquito control and awareness activities are continuing in the risky areas.
