Anti-corruption drive will continue across the country: ACC Chairman
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will continue its drive against irregularities and corruption across the country, said the commission's Chairman Justice A K M Asaduzzaman.

On Thursday (November 5), after visiting Dhaka Medical College Hospital, he told journalists that various irregularities, including the absence of doctors, were found at the hospital. Action will be taken against these irregularities.

He said that medical services at Dhaka Medical are in a deplorable state due to mismanagement. Patients are not receiving services, and there is no way to understand whether doctors are present in the emergency department.

Earlier, around 12 noon, members of the commission led by the chairman visited the emergency department and several wards of the hospital for about an hour and spoke with patients and service seekers.

ACC sources said the visit was made to see the real situation on the ground, as there have been long-standing allegations of irregularities, corruption and harassment of service seekers at the hospital.
