He said these things in his speech as chief guest at a discussion meeting on Revolution and Solidarity Day organized by Gaibandha District BNP.
Noting that the country has repeatedly been saved by BNP in adverse situations, he further said that the people had brought Shaheed Zia to state power by holding him in their hearts and out of love. The fallen autocracy played with the blood of the people of this country; the people will not forgive them.
The meeting was presided over by District BNP President and District Council Administrator Moinul Islam Sadik and conducted by General Secretary Mahmudunnabi Titu. Others who spoke at the meeting included Momtaz Alo, Member of Parliament from a reserved women's seat; valiant freedom fighter Saiful Islam Saja; Dr. Khandaker Ziaul Islam; Mohammad Ali; Abdus Salam; and others.
