Sherpur added to Netrokona rural infrastructure project, cost rising by nearly Tk 1,200 crore
The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) has proposed including Sherpur district in the ongoing ‘Rural Infrastructure Development of Netrokona District’ project, expanding its scope, duration and cost. This adds Tk 1,172 crore to the originally approved Tk 1,428 crore, taking the total cost to Tk 2,600 crore (an 82.07% increase), and plans to extend the deadline by two years to June 2029.
