He made this comment in his verified Facebook post today.
In the post, Asif Nazrul wrote, “In understanding the minds of the people of the neighboring country, India's rulers are donkeys or the lowly class. It has been proven once again by allowing Sheikh Hasina, who has been convicted for genocide, to speak against the people of Bangladesh.”
Through his comment, he criticized India's rulers and highlighted the internal political situation of Bangladesh and the context of broadcasting Sheikh Hasina's speech.
It is to be noted that Dr. Asif Nazrul is a legal scholar, writer, novelist, political analyst and constitutional expert. As an adviser to the interim government formed in August 2024, he held responsibility for several ministries, including the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. He is currently working as a professor in the Department of Law at Dhaka University.
