In parliament, opposition leader and Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman strongly criticized Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed for speaking insultingly and for his mentality of considering himself a teacher. He said, 'He has shown such audacity as to play the role of a teacher in parliament. We did not come here to be his students.'
On Thursday, he made this allegation while speaking on the first day of the third session of the thirteenth National Parliament. Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed presided over the session.

With due respect to the Home Minister, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said he did not use these words anew today; rather, since the day the parliamentary session began, he has been speaking to everyone with contempt. The opposition leader commented that it is incomprehensible what he considers himself to be.
