Gold and silver prices reduced again
The prices of gold and silver have been reduced again in the country's market. The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has set new prices due to a decrease in the price of raw (unrefined) gold and silver in the local market. The new prices will be effective from 10:00 AM on Tuesday (June 30). The decision was taken at a meeting of BAJUS's Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring Committee. Later, the new price information was announced in a notice signed by the committee chairman, Dr. Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen. According to the new prices, including VAT, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 3,324 taka to 221,966 taka.

According to the new prices, including VAT, the price of 22-carat gold jewelry per bhori has been reduced by 3,324 taka to 221,966 taka. The price of 21-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 3,149 taka to 211,993 taka.

Additionally, the price of 18-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 2,683 taka to 182,075 taka, and the price of traditional method gold per bhori has been reduced by 2,158 taka to 148,774 taka.

Earlier, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori was 225,290 taka, effective from June 29. Within a day, it has been further reduced by 3,324 taka.

On the other hand, the price of silver has also been reduced. However, for silver jewelry, an additional 5% VAT will apply to the determined price as per the previous rule.

Under the new prices, the price of 22-carat silver per bhori has been reduced by 175 taka to 4,491 taka. The price of 21-carat silver per bhori has been set at 4,257 taka, 18-carat at 3,674 taka, and traditional method silver per bhori at 2,741 taka.

According to BAJUS, the price of gold has been adjusted 84 times so far this year. Among these, prices have been increased 41 times and decreased 43 times.

It is noteworthy that on January 29 of this year, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori was set at 286,001 taka, which is the highest price in the country's history.
