President advocates following 'Bangladesh Doctrine' to enhance defense capability
President Md. Sahabuddin said the reputation of the Bangladesh Army is well-established internationally. Prioritizing the 'Bangladesh Doctrine' in determining national security strategy, the country's defense system is being further modernized and strengthened.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at the anniversary event of the President Guard Regiment at Dhaka Cantonment on Sunday (July 5).

The President said the government is working to build the armed forces as a modern and multidimensional force. Defense capability is being enhanced by giving utmost importance to national interests in the national security strategy.

He said the President Guard Regiment is also playing an important role in continuing the international reputation achieved by the Bangladesh Army.

Md. Sahabuddin further said that besides conventional security risks, there is no alternative to increasing technological capability and adopting effective strategies to deal with cyber attacks, misuse of artificial intelligence (AI), and new types of security threats.
