When will heavy rain decrease? Meteorologist informs
Continuous rainfall has disrupted normal life in various regions of the country. Flood situations have developed in different areas of four divisions. The Chattogram division has been the most affected, where at least 30 people have died in landslides. Additionally, road communication has been severely disrupted in various areas of the division.

In the midst of this, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has given some relieving news regarding rainfall.

On Friday (July 10), meteorologist Bazlur Rashid informed that the amount of rainfall in Chattogram has decreased compared to the previous 24 hours. Previously, 329 millimeters of rainfall was recorded, which has decreased to 211 millimeters in the last 24 hours.

However, there is no immediate relief for all regions of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, there is still a possibility of heavy rainfall in various areas of Khulna, Rajshahi, and Barisal divisions. It may rain intermittently throughout the day in these regions.

Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid said that since July is the middle of the monsoon season, moderate to heavy rainfall is normal at this time. Therefore, the ongoing situation is being seen as part of seasonal rainfall.

He further informed that the trend of heavy rainfall may gradually decrease from next Saturday and Sunday. If the weather continues to improve, the warning signals issued for river ports may also be withdrawn from Saturday.
