Hefazat-e-Islam calls on the government to be more active in rescuing flood victims
Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh has called upon the government, Hefazat leaders and activists, scholars, and the people of the country to stand by the people of Chattogram, Moulvibazar, and Habiganj affected by continuous heavy rains and floods.

In a joint statement on Sunday (July 12), the organization's Amir Allama Muhibullah Babunagari and Secretary General Allama Sajedur Rahman said that heavy rains and floods have created a severe humanitarian situation in three districts. Hundreds of thousands of people have become waterlogged, and landslides have caused loss of life. Many families are spending days in extreme hardship after losing their homes and property.

In the statement, they said that Hefazat leaders and activists, scholars, and people from all walks of life must come forward to stand by the affected people with adequate relief materials.

At the same time, they called on the government to strengthen rescue operations in flood-affected areas and increase necessary logistical support for relief distribution.

Hefazat leaders said that natural disasters are a difficult test for people. At this time, it is everyone's duty to fulfill humanitarian responsibilities by standing by the affected people. They expressed hope that through collective efforts, the suffering of flood victims can be alleviated.

The statement also called for seeking Allah's pleasure by increasing Istighfar and repentance, as well as praying for the people affected by the disaster.
