Due to the students' positions, traffic came to a halt on three major roads. This caused severe traffic jams in various areas, causing suffering for office-goers, examinees, and ordinary passengers.

Uttara East Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Morshed said that after the exams, students took positions on the roads. Police are requesting them to vacate the roads and are monitoring the situation.

The movement originated after the HSC and equivalent exams were held across the country except for five districts in Chattogram on Monday (July 13) amid inclement weather. In various areas, examinees had to wade through waist-deep water to reach exam centers, which drew widespread criticism.

Meanwhile, a video of a phone conversation of the Education Minister went viral on social media. In it, he allegedly referred to examinees as 'farm chickens'. Additionally, controversy arose over errors in the Physics first paper question paper.

In protest of these incidents, examinees first raised an eight-point demand and later a three-point demand. The demands included suspending the HSC exams until a suitable environment is ensured, awarding full marks for the erroneous Physics questions, and a public apology from the Education Minister.

On Tuesday night, Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon expressed regret in the National Parliament. At the same time, he announced the re-examination of the Physics, Accounting, and Logic first paper exams held on Monday.

However, the students were not satisfied with that announcement. They remain firm in their demand for the Education Minister's resignation and are carrying out the 'Long March to the Education Ministry' as a new program. As of the latest reports, their sit-in program continues at various locations in the capital.
