What is the latest price of gold in the country's market today?
According to the latest adjustment in the country's market, gold and silver are being sold at new fixed prices today, Friday (July 17). The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced a reduction in gold prices last Tuesday (July 14), which became effective from 10:00 AM that day.

BAJUS stated that due to a decrease in the price of raw gold (pure gold) in the local market, new gold prices have been set considering the overall situation. According to the latest decision, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) has been set at Tk 2,19,808. 21-carat gold is being sold at Tk 2,09,894 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 1,80,267 per bhori, and the price of traditional method gold per bhori has been set at Tk 1,47,316.

According to BAJUS instructions, this price will remain effective in all jewellery establishments in the country until further notice. However, wages will be added depending on the design and craftsmanship of the ornaments. Additionally, since VAT is included in the selling price, VAT cannot be collected separately from customers.
