Opportunity has come to take Bangladesh-Japan relations to a new height: Prime Minister
Noting that an opportunity has come to take the existing relations between Bangladesh and Japan to a new height, Prime Minister Tarek Rahman called for greater Japanese investment in the country. He said this at a joint press conference after a summit meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in Tokyo on Tuesday (27 October) morning.

At the press conference, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi stressed accelerating stability and shared prosperity in the Bay of Bengal region. She said Japan is interested in strengthening relations with Bangladesh centering the Bay of Bengal, and they will cooperate in the country's maritime safety. In addition, the two countries' heads of government agreed on making the ‘Bay of Bengal Industrial Growth Belt’ or Big-B fit for the times.
