He gave this instruction while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of Green Specialized Hospital in Sheorapara, Dhaka, on Friday (July 17) afternoon.
The DNCC administrator said hospital authorities must strictly follow the prescribed rules for storing and disposing of medical waste. The Dhaka North City Corporation will provide necessary assistance in this regard. However, if any irregularities or negligence are found, legal action will be taken against those involved.
He further said no unethical activities will be tolerated in hospitals. If anyone is involved in such activities, the DNCC will take necessary measures.
Md. Shafiqul Islam Khan said the Green Specialized Hospital has skilled doctors. If necessary, the DNCC will also cooperate in improving the quality of medical services. The hospital must be run as a service-oriented institution, and special emphasis must be placed on ensuring that local residents receive quality and prompt medical services in a healthy environment.
He said improved healthcare must be ensured for all citizens regardless of party or opinion. He also called for ensuring quick and effective treatment for patients through proper diagnosis.
