He said these things on Sunday (July 19) at a discussion meeting titled 'Role of media in fascist rule' and tribute to journalists martyred in the 2024 mass uprising, held at the Engineers Institution in the capital at noon.
Mirza Fakhrul said the ongoing debate over the July Charter should end. It is possible to reach a solution through discussion and dialogue on this matter. He informed that a committee has been formed in parliament on the issue and called upon opposition parties to participate in that committee and come forward to resolve it through dialogue.
He further said the July movement has given the country an opportunity to form a new state system. Taking advantage of that opportunity, a just and fair state must be established.
The BNP Secretary General said the government is working to implement the promises made to the people. He also emphasized strengthening the country's democratic institutions and maintaining the continuity of reforms.
