Rashed Khan appointed as Prime Minister's Political Assistant with Secretary rank

This information was provided in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Md. Golam Rabbani of the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday (July 19) by order of the President.

The notification stated that Md. Rashed Khan has been appointed on a contractual basis as Assistant to the Prime Minister (Political) with the rank of Secretary, effective from the date of joining, subject to the condition that he relinquishes any other profession, business, or employment relationship with any government, semi-government, private institution, or organization, for the duration of the Prime Minister's term or until the Prime Minister's satisfaction (whichever occurs earlier).

It further stated that other terms of employment will be determined through a contract. This order has been issued in the public interest.

Sharing the appointment notification on his verified Facebook account, Rashed Khan wrote, 'Alhamdulillah, the Prime Minister has appointed me as his Assistant (Political) with the rank of Secretary.'

He further wrote, 'I express my deepest gratitude and thanks to the embodiment of the trust and confidence of the people of Bangladesh, BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. I seek everyone's prayers and love so that I can fulfill my entrusted responsibilities with trust and confidence. I look forward to everyone's cooperation in this journey of my new life.'
