Ongoing projects will be revised in line with the government's manifesto: Environment Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo, MP, has said that ongoing projects will be revised in line with the government's manifesto.

He made this comment in his presidential speech at an inter-ministerial meeting between the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Ministry of Planning.

Today (July 20), an important meeting was held in the conference room of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to review the ongoing and unapproved new projects included in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for the fiscal year 2026-2027.

The Minister said that new projects will be taken up as quickly as possible so that their results are visible within the tenure of this government. Projects will be undertaken in such a way that they reflect the hopes and aspirations of the people. This government is committed to implementing its promises.

In his speech as a special guest, State Minister Sheikh Faridul Islam, MP, said that the Honorable Prime Minister is regularly monitoring all matters. He advised taking up new projects considering how the people can get the maximum benefit.

In his speech as a special guest, the State Minister for Planning said that under the direction of Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, projects of all ministries are being reviewed. The highest number of projects must be undertaken this year. Because the projects that are taken now will be completed within the tenure of this government. He gave various suggestions regarding the quickest possible adoption of new projects.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Fahmida Khanam, Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change; Dr. Md. Saimum Parvez, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Environment, Forest and Climate Change; Md. Mahmudul Hossain Khan, Member (Secretary) of the Agriculture, Water Resources and Rural Institutions Division; Dr. Manjur Hossain, Member (Secretary) of the General Economics Division; Additional Secretaries of the Ministry; heads of various organizations; project directors of various projects; and officials of various levels.
