1,511 drives in 3 months to curb ticket black marketing and ticketless travel, Tk 3.20 crore collected
The Ministry of Railways has intensified drives across the country to prevent railway ticket black marketing and ticketless travel. In the three months from April to June this year, 1,511 special drives were conducted, collecting Tk 3,20,80,551 in fares and fines.

In the weekly press briefing held on Tuesday (July 21), it was informed that Tk 2,39,30,787 was collected as regular fares from ticketless travelers and Tk 81,49,764 as fines during the drives.

The ministry said that such drives will continue to improve passenger service quality and curb ticket black marketing and irregularities.
