Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary of the former chief adviser of the interim government, has informed that Professor Muhammad Yunus will not become the next president of Bangladesh.

Shafiqul Alam shared this information in a post on his verified Facebook account on Thursday night.

In the post, he wrote, “One thing is certain: Professor Muhammad Yunus will not become the next president of Bangladesh. He will remain dedicated to his ongoing work in the fight against poverty, realizing the dream of building a ‘three-zero world,’ and expanding social business globally.”

Following Shafiqul Alam's statement, discussions have reignited regarding the ongoing speculation about Dr. Yunus becoming president. However, no separate official statement has been received from Dr. Yunus or any relevant authority on this matter.
