Jamaat is not a group of angels, we will correct mistakes: Shafiqur Rahman

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the Jamaat's half-yearly Rukon Conference 2026 held in the capital's Kakrail on Friday morning.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, 'Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is not a group of angels. We are human, we also make mistakes.'

Addressing the countrymen, he said that if any injustice or crime of Jamaat's leaders or workers is noticed, it must be pointed out. 'You point out our mistakes. We promise, we will correct ourselves,' he said.

Addressing the leaders and workers of Jamaat, he said that the party does not give any concession on the question of morality. He urged everyone to remain vigilant and maintain organizational discipline and moral standards.

In his speech, he further said that since the beginning of mankind, Satan has been trying to mislead people. Therefore, the Ameer of Jamaat urged everyone to always maintain piety and follow the path of honesty and justice.
