The court has ordered an investigation into the case filed against outgoing President Md. Sahabuddin Chuppu over the Islamic Bank share scam. At the same time, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has been instructed to investigate the case and submit a report.
According to court sources, in the case filed in 2025, allegations of irregularities and fraud in Islamic Bank's share transactions have been brought against Md. Sahabuddin Chuppu and his owned company JMC Builders.
Meanwhile, the court was informed that a report submitted by the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) to the High Court mentioned the involvement of Md. Sahabuddin Chuppu and his company JMC Builders in the Islamic Bank share scam.
As per the court's directive, the ACC must submit a report after completing the investigation into the allegations.
