Acting President Hafiz Uddin pays tribute at the graves of Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia

Acting President and Speaker of the National Parliament Hafiz Uddin Ahmed has paid tribute at the graves of martyr President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

He paid the tribute by placing wreaths at Zia Udyan in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital around 12:30 pm on Sunday (July 26).

At that time, State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Israk Hossain and other senior officials were present.

Security was tightened in and around Zia Udyan centering the acting president's visit. A large number of law enforcement personnel were deployed there.

Earlier on the same day, around 11:30 am, acting president Hafiz Uddin Ahmed paid tribute to the martyrs of the great Liberation War at the National Memorial in Savar.
