He made this comment while speaking at a discussion meeting and award ceremony titled 'Legacy of the July Blood Debt' organized by National Student Power at Jahangirnagar University on Monday (July 27) evening.

Nahid Islam said legal action should be taken against former president Md. Sahabuddin, who resigned. He claimed that the Home Minister and BNP are saying that no case will be filed against him, which has raised questions.
He said that after the anti-Ershad movement, a case was filed against former president Hussain Muhammad Ershad and he was also arrested. He commented that the same policy should be followed in the current case as well.
