Mohammad Rashidul Haque takes charge as new Managing Director of BOESEL
Mohammad Rashidul Haque has officially assumed charge as the new Managing Director (MD) of Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESEL). He was appointed on a contractual basis with the status of Grade-2 through a notification of the Ministry of Public Administration dated 23 July 2026. Later, on 30 July, he took over from outgoing Managing Director Md. Saiful Islam (Additional Secretary).

Mohammad Rashidul Haque, a distinguished son of Madaripur, obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Department of Information Science and Management at the University of Dhaka. He spent an important part of his career in Australia. For more than 17 years, he gained experience working there in international communication, multicultural work environments, and with the Bangladeshi expatriate community.

He also served as the International Affairs Secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and as Special Assistant to the Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee of the BNP Chairperson.

During an exchange of views with BOESEL officials and employees after taking charge, the new Managing Director said that following the policies of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, BOESEL will be transformed into a more modern, dynamic and client-friendly institution to ensure safe, legal, transparent and cost-effective overseas employment.

He informed that in line with government priorities, BOESEL's activities will be further strengthened in sending skilled manpower abroad, creating new labour markets, expanding international employment and increasing remittance flow. At the same time, he expressed determination to further strengthen the institution's role in the country's economic development by ensuring safe and orderly migration through government initiatives.

To achieve this goal, Mohammad Rashidul Haque sought cooperation from the concerned ministry, government and private institutions, development partners, Bangladesh missions abroad, international partners and the media.

Meanwhile, BOESEL officials and employees welcomed and congratulated the newly appointed Managing Director, expressing hope that under his leadership the institution will play an important role in ensuring safe migration, expanding overseas employment and further strengthening Bangladesh's position in the international labour market.

It is noteworthy that under the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, BOESEL is the country's only state-owned international manpower exporting institution. Since its inception, the organisation has been making significant contributions to the overseas employment sector by creating safe, legal and low-cost employment opportunities in various countries around the world and sending skilled manpower abroad.
