He said these things at an event organized by UNICEF at Hotel Sheraton in the capital on Sunday (August 9) morning.
The state minister said many students are still unable to properly master basic subjects even after completing primary education. Therefore, initiatives will be taken to establish math labs step by step in primary schools to make the future education system more job-oriented.
Observing that private tutoring has taken epidemic proportions in the country, he said many students are being deprived of necessary classroom education due to excessive dependence on tutoring. Therefore, students' complete education must be ensured at school.
The state minister further informed that there is a plan to make sports compulsory at the primary and secondary levels. He emphasized making sports an integral part of education for the physical and mental development of students.
