Prime Minister visited the grave of Shah Ahmad Shafi

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited the grave of the late Amir of Hefazat-e-Islam, Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi (RA), at Al-Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Ulum Moinul Islam Madrasa in Hathazari.

On Sunday (August 9) at 5:50 PM, he reached the Hathazari madrasa premises and standing beside the grave, recited Fatiha and offered prayers seeking forgiveness for the deceased's soul.

At that time, Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, Prime Minister's Defence Adviser ATM Shamsul Islam, Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon, and Madrasa Principal Maulana Khalil Ahmed Qureshi were present.

After visiting the grave, the madrasa principal took the Prime Minister to the second floor of the madrasa. There, the Prime Minister exchanged pleasantries with the scholars.

As he was leaving the madrasa, students standing in rows in the field greeted the Prime Minister. He shook hands with them.
