He said these things on Monday (August 10) morning while participating in a tree plantation programme at MDC Model School and College and Sultan Molla High School in Mirpur.
Aminul Haque informed that tree plantation activities have begun in every educational institution in Pallabi and Rupnagar of Dhaka-16 constituency. Calling upon the students, he said everyone should plant at least one tree as feasible in front of their homes, in courtyards, or in the vicinity, and also encourage their guardians in this regard.
The State Minister said trees are irreplaceable in maintaining environmental balance and greening. Trees provide oxygen and play an important role in creating a healthy and beautiful environment. He said, ‘If we all plant one tree each, everyone can become a partner in the programme of planting 25 crore trees.’
Participating in the tree plantation programme as the chief guest, he planted saplings of various species along with the students. At that time, students, teachers, guardians, local residents and BNP leaders were present.
