Narendra Modi wants good relations with Bangladesh: High Commissioner
Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Dinesh Trivedi said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants good relations with Bangladesh. The people of India also want to see good relations between the two countries and he expressed optimism that things will be even better in the future.

He said these things in response to questions from journalists after meeting Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed at the Secretariat on Monday (August 10) afternoon.

The High Commissioner said, there are and will be democratic issues between Bangladesh and India—that is the beauty of democracy. However, these issues will be resolved through discussion. He also said that he had a very cordial and positive discussion with the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
