Meritorious students will build tomorrow's Bangladesh: State Minister for Information
State Minister for Information Yaser Khan Chowdhury said that the country's future leadership will be built from today's meritorious students. Along with good results, they must cultivate morality, human values and patriotism to become worthy citizens.

He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the reception ceremony for students who obtained GPA-5 in the 2026 SSC, Dakhil and technical examinations, held on Saturday at the Nandail Upazila Parishad hall room.

The state minister congratulated the meritorious students and said that merely achieving good results in examinations is not enough; students must prepare themselves for the welfare of the country and the nation by acquiring knowledge, skills and human qualities. The talented generation must play an important role in making future Bangladesh more prosperous and stronger.

At the ceremony, the state minister handed over commemorative mementos, crests, flowers and tree saplings to the meritorious students. A festive atmosphere was created among students, guardians and teachers.

Mizanur Rahman Liton, Senior Joint Convener of Upazila BNP; Md. Enamul Kadir, Member Secretary; Salah Uddin Mahmud, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land); and Md. Mofizul Islam, Acting Upazila Secondary Education Officer, were present as special guests, along with head teachers of various educational institutions, guardians and meritorious students.

Earlier, on the last day of his three-day official visit, State Minister Yaser Khan Chowdhury visited Chandipasha Government High School in Nandail. During this time, he exchanged views with teachers on improving the quality of education at the school. He said directives were given to install necessary CCTV cameras to ensure the safety of students, and also informed about the initiative to construct the school's boundary wall.

Later, the state minister inaugurated the construction work of an RCC culvert from the Roads and Highways road to Dr. Abu Ali Fakir's road in Ward No. 4 of Nandail Municipality.

At that time, leaders of local BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal and other associate and affiliate organizations were present alongside the state minister.
