Speaking as the chief guest at the 'Revenue Conference-2026' held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in the capital this Tuesday morning, the Prime Minister made this comment in response to a question.
The Internal Resources Division of the Ministry of Finance and the National Board of Revenue (NBR) jointly organized this conference.
Senior officials of the National Board of Revenue and related officials took part in the conference.
At that time, the Prime Minister said, 'The government is trying to reduce spending in unnecessary sectors. However, spending will definitely be made in necessary sectors.'
He said, 'If everyone does their respective work properly, positive change will come to the country.'
The conference is expected to discuss various related issues, including increasing revenue collection, making tax management more effective, and ensuring necessary revenue resources for the country's economy.
