The government has extended the contract-based appointment of Professor Dr. Nazmul Hossain, Director General (DG) of the Health Education Directorate, by one more year.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification to this effect on August 17. He has been reappointed in continuation of his previous contract under Section 49 of the Public Servants Act, 2018.

According to the new contract, he will serve as Director General of the Health Education Directorate from August 24, 2026 to August 23, 2027. Other terms of employment will be determined in the contract.
