Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu has called on law enforcement agencies to be tough in order to eliminate land grabbers and drug smugglers from Rajshahi.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the ceremony of restoring and unveiling the historic nameplate at the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) headquarters on Saturday (August 22).

The land minister said illegal smuggling and attempts to bring drugs into the border areas pose a major threat to the country. Strict action must be taken against those involved in such activities. He also said the law will proceed at its own pace.

At that time, Mizanur Rahman Minu recalled the establishment of RMP in Rajshahi by then Prime Minister Khaleda Zia in 1992. He said RMP is currently working as an important law enforcement institution in the country.
