The online news portal Bangla Edition has regained its registration that was temporarily cancelled. On Sunday, a notification from the Ministry of Information announced the withdrawal of the previous suspension.
On 22 December 2025, the then interim government had cancelled Bangla Edition's registration. Later, the portal authorities applied for reinstatement of the registration. Following that application, the registration has now been returned.

In reaction to getting the registration back, Bangla Edition editor Elias Hossain in a Facebook post expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and others concerned. He said, those who stood by during difficult times, he is also grateful to them.

Bangla Edition officially started its journey on 16 July 2025. After getting the registration back, the portal has announced that it will resume news activities again.
