Newly appointed Minister Saching Pru Jery exchanged views with officials and employees of the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs. During the exchange at his office in the Secretariat, Dhaka, he instructed to continue the government's development activities in public interest with dedication and responsibility.
The meeting was presided over by Ministry Secretary Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, with senior officials in attendance.

Last Friday night, Saching Pru Jery took oath as a full minister in the cabinet led by Prime Minister Tareq Rahman at Bangabhaban.

He was first elected as a Member of Parliament from Bandarban in 1996. He later contested the 2001, 2009 and 2018 elections, and was most recently elected as a Member of Parliament in the 13th national parliamentary election of 2026. In addition, he served as chairman of the Bandarban Sadar Upazila Parishad and the Bandarban Hill District Council.
