He gave this instruction on Sunday during the inauguration of the 'Navy and Air Force Selection Board-2026' at the Air Force Headquarters.
The Prime Minister said that in promotions, importance must be given to professional competence, leadership qualities, discipline, honesty, loyalty and suitability to perform duties. He also instructed the members of the selection board to remain above political considerations.
At that time, the Prime Minister pinned the Admiral rank badge on Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Khondkar Misbah ul Azim and congratulated him.
He praised the contributions of the Navy and Air Force in protecting the country's independence and sovereignty, maintaining internal peace and order, and tackling disasters, and thanked the members of both forces.
