The newly appointed minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, reposing trust in him, has given him the responsibility of this important ministry.
He said this to journalists after exchanging views with ministry officials at the Secretariat on Sunday morning.

Moin Khan said the Local Government Ministry is an important ministry. He will work with everyone, upholding the trust reposed by the Prime Minister.

Earlier, the minister arrived at the Secretariat after 9am and exchanged views with officials at 10am. At that time, State Minister for Local Government Mir Shah Alam and Secretary Md. Shahidul Hasan were present.
Notably, Moin Khan got the responsibility of the Local Government Ministry after Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir resigned upon being elected President. He took oath as minister last Friday.
