After nearly five months of treatment in Singapore and Malaysia, BNP Standing Committee member and political adviser to the Prime Minister Mirza Abbas will return home on Wednesday, September 2. The aircraft carrying him is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 9 PM that day.
On Sunday, BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter. He said Mirza Abbas is now largely healthy. Following the medical board's advice, he has decided to return home.

On March 11, Mirza Abbas suddenly lost consciousness while drinking water during iftar. As his physical condition did not improve, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital late at night.

Later, on March 15, when his physical condition deteriorated, he was taken to Singapore by air ambulance. After treatment there, he was taken to Malaysia for better treatment.
Mirza Abbas was elected Member of Parliament from Dhaka-8 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
