They joined the organization at a Dawati rally organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka Metropolitan South at the Muktijuddha Smriti Milonayatan of the Institution of Diploma Engineers in the capital on Tuesday (September 1) afternoon.

At the rally, the chief guest, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Opposition Leader in the National Parliament Dr. Shafiqur Rahman welcomed the joiners with flowers and Islamic books.
From Jamaat, it was informed that among the joiners are former Justice Syed Shahidur Rahman, Supreme Court senior lawyer Dr. ASM Khalequzzaman, former army officer Colonel Faruk Hossain, former Superintendent of Police Obaidul Haque, former national footballer Selim Ahmed, businessmen, social workers, and leaders and activists of various political parties.

Besides, among the Qawmi scholars, Mufti Abul Kalam Azad, Maulana Enamul Haq Azadi, Maulana Abdur Rahman Al Habibi, Maulana Md. Jasim Uddin and Maulana Hasan Jamil, among many others, joined Jamaat.
At the rally, leaders of different levels of Jamaat-e-Islami central and Dhaka Metropolitan South spoke. They emphasized expanding the organization's Dawati activities further.
