He made these remarks during a goodwill exchange with distinguished members of the Sanatan religious community and distribution of honorariums among priests and sevayets on the occasion of auspicious Janmashtami at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital on Thursday around 11:30 am.

The Prime Minister said, ‘We are not minorities or majorities, we are all Bangladeshi citizens.’ He urged maintaining religious harmony and tolerance.

He said everyone has their own religion, but everyone has the right to security. Everyone must remain vigilant so that no evil force can raise its head.

At the event, the Prime Minister handed over honorariums to nine priests and sevayets.
