In an advisory from the Indian High Commission in Dhaka, it was said that middlemen are trying to extort money from applicants by luring them with ‘guaranteed visa’, fast processing, and confirmed appointments.
The High Commission said that believing such promises could put not only money but also important documents and personal information at risk. Therefore, applicants have been advised not to give money, necessary documents, or personal information to any unauthorized person or agent.
Additionally, applicants for India’s transit visa have been urged to apply directly by following the prescribed official procedure.
