State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam said the government is looking for alternative sources to tackle the energy crisis. The minister said energy would also be imported from Africa if necessary.
Speaking to journalists on Saturday morning, the minister said the government is working on various possible sources to meet the country's energy demand.

Meanwhile, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs also said that to diversify export products, the government is placing emphasis on jute products alongside readymade garments.

He said the upcoming United Nations General Assembly session is extremely important for Bangladesh. Preparations are being made to highlight various issues concerning the country's interests around the session.
