A diabetic patient died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital after following advice to stop insulin and take keto diet and supplements. Following the incident, the Directorate General of Health Services has formed a six-member committee to investigate allegations against Dr. Jahangir Kabir's organisation 'Health Revolution Limited'.
Based on an application from the Endocrinology Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the committee was formed on September 3. This information was learned from a Directorate General of Health Services source on Saturday.

The directorate's notice said that, taking the complaint into account, the investigation committee has been asked to submit a report within 10 working days with clear opinions.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Monir-Uz-Zaman, principal of Sir Salimullah Medical College and professor of the Department of Medicine, has been made the convener of the committee. Assistant Director of the Directorate General of Health Services Dr. Md. Mahmudur Rahman has been made member secretary.
