On Sunday, the High Court bench of Justice Md. Khairul Alam and Justice Md. Rafiqul Islam passed the order. Lawyers Fazlur Rahman Khan and Masud Mia argued for Bidisha in court.
Earlier, on August 26, Bidisha was ordered to be sent to jail in a fraud case. In a case filed over fraud in selling a flat, the court on May 20 sentenced her to two years of rigorous imprisonment. Along with that, she was fined 10,000 taka and in default, one more month of imprisonment.
As she did not appear before court on the day of the verdict, a conviction warrant was issued against Bidisha. Later, on the night of August 25, she was arrested from a restaurant in Gulshan, Dhaka.
