According to the report, Elias Mia physically assaulted Badhon, and the person seen in the video throwing water at Badhon has been identified as Shibl Mahmud Biplob. It has been claimed that their political identities were confirmed based on their social media information and local sources.
Citing local sources, it was claimed that several other Awami League workers harassed Badhon, but their identities were not immediately known. Recently, when Sheikh Hasina's son Sajeeb Wazed Joy went to Venice, information also emerged that he took photos with some of those accused in the attack.
On Monday night, during her stay in Venice, a group of expatriates threw water and rotten eggs at her, Badhon alleged in a Facebook Live. She said that because of her support for the July movement, several people identifying themselves as Awami League and Chhatra League attacked and harassed her.
According to Badhon, the attackers tried to force her to shout political slogans, threw water and soft drinks at her, and threw away her phone. She also alleged that she was hit near her ear during this time.
After the incident, Badhon lodged a complaint with the local police. The actress is currently in Italy to take part in the Venice Film Festival.
