During the oath, Trump referred to himself as the ‘greatest president’ in US history. Raising allegations that Democrats rig elections, he jokingly said he would act in the same manner in return. He then remarked that if supporters did not vote, they would go ‘straight to hell’.

In the speech, Trump also praised his government's successes. Claiming that he had fulfilled the promises made over the past 19 months, he highlighted the rise in the stock market, lowering medicine prices, increased military spending, and reducing illegal crossings along the border to nearly zero. He claimed that the United States had been taken from a dark chapter to a golden age of prosperity.

Although the ruling party historically loses seats in midterm elections, Trump pledged to retain the Republican majority in the Senate and House of Representatives this time. He also warned that if Democrats came to power, the country's wealth would be confiscated and criminals would be released.

Earlier, in the opening speech of the convention, Vice President JD Vance called on people to vote to maintain the Republican majority. He urged not to hand the country over to extremists or bureaucrats because of any policy differences. At the same time, it is believed that the process of establishing Vance as Trump's possible successor for the 2028 presidential election is also being advanced through this.
