Land Minister announces strict measures to protect land and arable land
Land Minister Md. Mizanur Rahman Minu has said that the government has adopted a 'zero tolerance' policy to protect arable land and public and private property from land grabbers.

Speaking at a coordination meeting with divisional commissioners at the conference room of the Ministry of Land, he said that unplanned urbanization and illegal occupation are threatening the country's food security. He directed field administrations to be more stringent and active in breaking up the syndicates of land grabbers.

At the meeting, Minister of State for Land Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin said that field administrations must work sincerely to deliver citizen services to people's doorsteps. He called on government officials to serve the people as their servants and to build a corruption-free land management system.
