Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has said no comment can be made about the death of former Air Force officer Tahsif before receiving the autopsy report. He said comments on the matter will be made only after knowing everything in detail.
He said these things in his speech as chief guest at the passing-out parade of the 27th Probationer Sergeants and 43rd Cadet SI-2006 batch at the Police Academy in Rajshahi around 11am on Thursday.

Speaking about the country's law and order situation, the Home Minister said that the current government's main priority is to give relief to the people by controlling the law and order situation and to establish peace in the country.

He further said that the role of the police in establishing the rule of law in the country is very important. During the fascist government's tenure, like other institutions, the police force also suffered damage. From that fragile state, the police force has gradually been elevated to the current level.
