He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar titled ‘Review of the National Budget 2026-2027’, organized by the Korea-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry at a hotel in Banani in the capital recently.
The ambassador said joint initiatives and increased foreign investment are essential to reap the benefits of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between Bangladesh and South Korea. Along with equal opportunities for investors, digital connectivity among the National Board of Revenue, ports, and banks needs to be strengthened.
He said South Korea's cooperation in Bangladesh's industrial development and technology transfer will continue. If uninterrupted energy supply to industries can be ensured, long-term investment will increase further.
KBCCI President Shahab Uddin Khan, NBR Member Md. Moazzem Hossain, and Invest Bangladesh Executive Member Nahian Rahman, along with business leaders, government officials, and representatives of Korean institutions from both countries, were present at the seminar.
