On Monday (September 14), he observed the attendance of employees of various health institutions through the digital attendance system from his office at the ministry in Dhaka.
At that time, the digital attendance at the Upazila Health Complexes of Bhurungamari in Rangpur, Belabo and Raipura in Narsingdi, Aditmari in Lalmonirhat, Lama in Bandarban, and Dirai in Sunamganj was monitored.
During the monitoring, the absence of doctors, nurses and health workers at several institutions came to the minister's attention. Later, he spoke with the Civil Surgeons of the concerned districts and the Upazila Health and Family Planning Officers. He also directed that show-cause notices be issued to those absent from their workplaces without permission.
The Health Minister said that the presence of doctors, nurses and health workers at their workplaces is important to ensure necessary health services for the people. For this reason, attendance monitoring will be further strengthened. He will regularly monitor the attendance of various health institutions across the country from his own office.
At that time, Secretary of the Health Services Division Dr. A. N. M. Bazlur Rashid and Secretary of the Health Education and Family Welfare Division A K M Benjamin Riazi were present.
