Innovative Bangladesh must be built by creating new knowledge and skilled human resources: State Minister for Planning
State Minister for Planning Junaid Abdur Rahim Saki has remarked that a humane, skilled, and future-ready workforce must be built through the creation of new knowledge, innovation, and the development of technology-driven skills.

He said this while speaking as chief guest at an event of ‘Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026’ organized at the auditorium of Novo Theatre in Agargaon, the capital, on Monday (14 September).

The State Minister for Planning said effective coordination and partnership among the government, the business-industry sector, and academia are essential to make the country's development sustainable and dynamic. Inter-ministerial coordination must be strengthened in implementing development plans and projects to stop overlapping and duplication.

He said if maximum and effective use of government resources can be ensured, it will be possible to reduce time and cost in project implementation. If research and innovation are linked with the real demands of the industrial sector, opportunities to create new technology, employment, and entrepreneurs will increase.

Emphasizing increased coordination between government and private/voluntary organizations, he said inclusive development must be accelerated through public-private partnership by ensuring optimal use of the same platform and infrastructure.

Junaid Abdur Rahim Saki said a knowledge-based and technology-driven economy must be built by harnessing the innovative power of Bangladesh's youth. Such arrangements will create opportunities for communication and exchange of experience among young innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, students, and the industrial sector.

At the event, Shikho CEO Shahir Chowdhury, BIIAN Chairman Syed Almas Kabir, Executive Chairman of the National Skills Development Authority Dr. Nazneen Kausar Chowdhury, and representatives of various organizations and educational institutions were present.
